Now, it's time for negative sentences. To make a negative sentence in the Present Simple we put DON'T or DOESN'T before a verb.

Teraz pora na zdania przeczące. Aby zbudowac przeczenie w czasie present Simple wstawiamy DON'T lub DOESN'T przed czasownik.

DO NOT = DON'T
(used with I, you, we, they)

DOES NOT = DOESN'T
(used with she, he, it)

Notice that in the 3rd person singular (she, he, it) a verb loses ending 's'  in negatives.

Zauważ, że w trzeciej osobie liczby pojedynczej (she, he, it) czasownik w przeczeniu 'gubi' koncówkę 's'.

She drives > She doesn't drive

He swims > He doesn't swim
It cries > It doesn't cry

Of course, instead of personal pronouns ( he, she, it, we, they) we can put names or full nouns. For example:

Zamiast zaimków osobowych możemy oczywiście użyc imienia lub innego rzeczownika, np.:

Rebecca Black doesn't sing beautifully.
Metallica doesn't play my favourite kind of music.
This cough syrup doesn't taste good.
Michael rides a bike in his free time but he doesn't often play computer games.
I, Shannon and Arthur get together once every three days but we don't often eat out.
